Rehlko and WBPS deliver
reliable backup power for
hyperscale data center
Overview
A client of WB Power Services needed reliable back up power for one of its hyperscale
Data Centers and WBPS recommended its E-Pod Modular Power Solution. This is a
full plug and play standby power package specifically designed for the Data Center
market. Built and tested offsite, the tailormade solution included a transformer,
switchgear, UPS, cooling, gantry, plus all interconnections between containers. And,
at its heart, a high performance, high reliability Rehlko generator.
Challenge
As with any Data Center client, reliability was the key challenge. It is critical that
the generator kicks in during power outages to prevent any disruptions to the
Data Center’s operations. That’s why all of the equipment was fully tested prior
to leaving WBPS’s factory. Accessibility to the equipment was important for easy
and cost effective maintenance. The client also required the solution to be not
only simple to use but also straightforward to install. In order to meet stringent
planning regulations, it was vital too that the solution operated in line with rigorous
emissions restrictions.
