Insights on Brest’s Training
Center construction
With 29 years of experience in energy production, Xavier Perseq leads global training for
Power Systems at Rehlko. He sheds light on the ongoing project at the Brest site for the
Training Center.
In February 2025, the construction of the new training center began and is progressing rapidly.
Training on gensets have been temporarily relocated to the neighboring BIM (industrial
temporary building). The work is expected to be completed by January 2026, with the goal of
creating a premium training space, combining a Training Academy and a Rehlko Experience
Center, where customers will be greeted in a newly renovated, premium Rehlko-branded area.
Can you tell us about the new training center project?
The mechanical training courses were previously held in a garage near the conference
center within the headquarters car park. However, this setup was found to be inadequate
for providing a satisfactory customer experience. We also wanted to consolidate the entire
training team into one building to create a space that offers a customer experience. This
new space will accommodate electrical training classes and have the capacity to host our
wide range of gensets.
What are the main transformations being made to the existing building?
The current building will be largely demolished to make way for a new construction. A new
floor will be added to the existing building, The training center will include 4 training rooms,
a workshop dedicated to engines, offices for the training teams, and a space dedicated to
customer experience.
This new building will serve as both a training center and a Rehlko Experience Center. It will
greet our customers with the same hospitality as the Rehlko Experience Centers in Mosel,
Changzhou, and Singapore
